My name is Nick Silva, and I am an accounting and data professional living in San Diego, CA. Welcome to my portfolio where you will learn about my personal & professional interests, my work experience, and my technical skillset.

I have a strong finance & accounting background due to my education and professional experience working in auditing. This background adds an additional lens with which I can view data problems and deliver analytics solutions. I previously worked in Deloitte’s audit analytics practice where I worked with a variety of Deloitte audit teams to assist them with a variety of analytics needs, from cleaning datasets up to 300 million rows to delivering dashboards and automating data cleaning procedures.

I get energy from working on ambiguous problems that challenge me to learn new tools and methods on the fly. The projects you will find in my portfolio began with an idea of what I wanted to achieve and required me to find solutions along the way. The case studies on this site are accounting focused projects that showcase how analytics can be applied in the accounting realm.
