About the Role

The Audit Analytics group provides in-house analytics solutions to audit teams which are engaged in audits of client financial statements. The group provides services such as data cleaning, data transformation, data extraction, visualization, automation, and custom solutions dependent on individual team needs. The practice is a remote-first practice and requires coordination among team members located in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Houston, and abroad.

Senior analysts within the analytics group are expected to have a high level of technical ability to provide a variety of solutions to different teams. Senior analysts are also expected to manage multiple projects and train junior members of the team.

Role Responsbilities

  • Perform data cleaning and transformation procedures using Python, Excel, and Trifacta (owned by Alteryx) over dataset extracts from various ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and load into Deloitte’s propriety software

  • Proposed a new methodology of project tracking to upper management and prototyped using Azure DevOps. Developed a Python script to automate data preparation procedures for the project tracking dataset

  • Manage various project management responsibilities, such as coordinating with end users of the data to determine project requirements and deadlines, training junior team members, and delegating work tasks

  • Extract raw data from client ERP systems using SQL-based logic. Research additional extraction opportunities by re-creating the Oracle relational database structure for client revenue data and performing SQL queries on the dataset using Python SQLlite3.
